IT/Telecom Translations

Technological texts are characterised as follows:

Abbreviations: occasional abbreviations, intended for experts in the field, can be found in “IT’ texts. It means that a translation of the abbreviations and technological texts in general should be trusted to a translator with the necessary knowledge and skills.
Slang: modern “IT guys” mostly use slang in their speech; slang penetrates technological documents as well. Several terms often have no equivalents in a target language. 

Loanwords: it is important to understand that many terms are international while others are not, and the seemingly simple translation of them can be confusing.

Technological texts are recommended to be edited before publishing; moreover, this should be done not by a translator, but by an engineer.
